We've handpicked these 12 cabins for their unique charm and furnishings. Scattered in the grounds surrounding the Ylläsrinne Hotel, they range from 50m to 800m away from the Hotel. Each property is equipped with WiFi and firewood is provided as standard.

As a minimum, all cabins provide kitchen facilities with fridge, oven, microwave*, kettle and toaster. They all have a sauna to warm up in after exploring the great outdoors, plus bed linen and towels are included (beds to be made on arrival).

Kissalan 1 & 2- 2 Room Cabins, 38m2 . Sleep 1-4 people with one double bedroom with single bunk above and sofa bed in the living room. Each cabin has one bathroom WC with wet room style shower. Each cabin also has a drying closet. These cabins are semi-detached and sit side by side, located 1000m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Lumi 3 & 4- 1 Room Cabins + alcove + mezzanine, 50m2. Sleep 1-4 people with one small double bedroom (separate to the living room with curtain) and mezzanine with 2 single beds. Each cabin has one bathroom WC. These cabins are semi-detached and sit side by side, located 600m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Karpalo- 2 Room Cabin + mezzanine, 44m2. Sleep 2-6 people with one twin bedroom plus one single and one double bed in the mezzanine. There is one bathroom WC with shower. This cabin is semi detached and located 500m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Suppapolku A & B- 3 Room Cabins + mezzanine, 55m2. Sleep 2-6 people with two twin bedrooms (Suppapolku B has one double, one twin) and two single beds in the mezzanine (8-14 years only). There is one bathroom WC with shower. These cabins are semi-detached and sit side by side, located 500m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Lintie- 3 Room Cabin + mezzanine, 55m2. Sleep 2-6 people with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom plus 2 single beds in the mezzanine (8-14 years only). There is one bathroom WC with shower. This cabin is semi-detached and located 300m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Oskari- 3 Room Cabin + mezzanine, 52m2. Sleep 2-6 people with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom plus 2 single beds in the mezzanine (8-14 years only). There is one bathroom WC with shower and drying closet. This cabin is semi-detached and located 200m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel. The image used is of sister cabin Justinna, the style of which is very similar.

Palo Maja- 3 Room Cabin + Mezzanine, 52m2. Sleep 2-7 people with one twin bedroom, one bunk-bed room with 3rd single bed (8-14 years only) and mezzanine with double bed. There is one bathroom WC with shower. This cabin is semi-detached and is 150m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Sini- 4 Room Cabin + Mezzanine 121m2. Sleep 6-11 people with one small double room, one small twin room (beds together) with single bed above, one room with two bunkbeds and mezzanine with 2 single beds.  Separate WC. One bathroom WC with shower and storage room with washing machine and drying closet. This cabin is detached and located 500m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Aukun Maja- 5 Room Cabin 147m2. Sleep 4-10 people with three double bedrooms, all with single bunk above and sofa bed in the living room. There is a large living room on the ground floor with dining area. Upstairs there is another large dining area and kitchen. Separate WC. One bathroom WC with shower and drying closet. This cabin is detached and is 1000m from the Ylläsrinne Hotel.

Hotel room (3 star quality)

All rooms in the Äkas Hotel include a shower, WC, hairdryer, mini bar, TV, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities.

• Twin Room (A3) can sleep from 2-3 people, being able to add a 3rd bed

• Single Room (C1) is sole occupancy of a twin room and there is no single supplement

Rooms

All our cabins are either semi-detached or in a terraced row of 3 or 4 cabins. Cabin exteriors can be made from either round or planed logs.

One bedroom cabins are around 45m² with a 10m² mezzanine. They can sleep 2 - 4 people, with one twin bedroom downstairs and two mattress beds on the mezzanine. These cabins have an open-plan living room/kitchenette. Cabins that sleep up to five people, with a third bed on the mezzanine are also available.

Two bedroom cabins are about 57m² and can sleep 3 - 6 people. The cabins have two twin bedrooms. Groups of 5-6 people will be allocated a cabin with a mezzanine (about 20m²) with two extra beds. Groups of 1-4 people may be allocated a cabin without a mezzanine.

The cabins are situated in various locations within Äkäslompolo 250-1000 metres (5-30 minutes' walk) from the Äkäs Hotel and the nearest ski bus stop.

Highly recommended, attractive, well-equipped high quality apartments. All have shower, sauna, separate WC, telephone, iron, hairdryer, 2 TVs (pay-movies), drying closet, kitchen with microwave, 2 ring hob, fridge, coffee-maker, toaster, dishwasher, table and chairs, wood-burning stove (firewood included). All linen, towels and final clean are included.
