Itinerary
Day 1. Arriving in Lapland
Following your arrival in Lapland, your Arctic Star guide will be waiting to greet you at Rovaniemi Airport, then, we transfer to the idyllic resort of Luosto � a small beautiful ski village, largely unspoiled by the modern world.
On arrival at the resort, you will receive your thermal snowsuits and boots and settle into your choice of a traditional log cabin, hotel room, or luxury villa.
While away the evening with some tobogganing or enjoy a drink in the bar prior to dinner.
Day 2. Your Search for Santa Begins
After breakfast this morning, your Arctic Star guide will be waiting for you to embark on your Search for Santa.
Have you remembered the actions to the Elf Song? Join in the fun and sing along, as we make our way to a secret location where we may find Santa.
Perhaps Tricky Dicky the joker wild will be there to meet us, will he provide any clues as to where Santa may be or will he play a trick on us? Perhaps the reindeer will know where Santa is as they pull the sleigh through the forest.
We may see the Elves sorting the mail at the Magical Post Office today unless they are busy helping Santa with the dispatch of the thousands of presents in time for Christmas Day.
Back in Luosto dinner awaits you.
Day 3. Oh Joy of Joy it�s Christmas Day
The long wait is over � Christmas day is here.
Following breakfast, we will continue to search for Santa. We know Santa and his trusty reindeer were working hard to deliver presents across the globe last night, so hopefully we will find him at home today.
Our furry friends and the snowmobiles will once again transport us until we discover the great man. Will Noisy Nod or Speedy Sam provide the final clue to Santa�s hideaway?
Children will be mesmerised when they finally meet Father
Christmas in the unique setting of his home, close to Luosto, and they will be thrilled to receive their special gift from him in person.
Lunch will be provided at one of the outdoor locations.
This evening enjoy a traditional Christmas spread after such a magical day.
Day 4. Enjoy a Day of Activities
Boxing Day is traditionally a day of rest in Lapland, however today a shuttle bus transfer will be available to an activity location where some of our favourite Elves will be on hand to play games with the children.
Snowmobiles will be available along with reindeer too. Lunch will be served at location.
Back in resort why not enjoy a sauna or relax with a drink at the Luostonhovi Bar and Restaurant.
A buffet dinner will be available in Luosto; our final evening in this magical winter wonderland.
Day 5. Say Farewell to Santa and the Special Elves
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the restaurant, before spending the morning enjoying the resort facilities if you�re feeling energetic, try some skiing or snowboarding (local charges apply) or head to the tobogganing slope.
Then it�s time to say a fond farewell to beautiful Lapland and our amazing new friends Snowy Bowy, Noisy Nod, Tricky Dicky, Speedy Sam, and Wendy Wood.
There may be an opportunity to purchase a momento of your visit to Lapland en-route to Rovaniemi Airport.
Accommodation
Luostotunturi Hotel
The Luostotunturi is a charming hotel, which is centrally located for all the amenities that this magical resort has to offer. Built in the shape of a Lappish Reindeer earmarking, the building truly compliments its natural surroundings.
The hotel provides a selection of well-appointed en-suite twin-bedded rooms and super family rooms, a number of which sleep up to 5 people. We also have a number of contemporary style suites which have the added bonus of their own lounge, kitchenette and a traditional Finnish sauna. A number of the rooms have a balcony or terrace with views across the snowy landscape towards the majestic Fells.
After spending a wonderful day experiencing the wealth of traditional Arctic activities that Luosto has to offer; in the evening, enjoy a swim in the The Amethyst Spa Pool, or relax and unwind at the hotel bar prior to dinner in the Buffet Restaurant.

The twin-bedded guest rooms are very comfortable and well furnished throughout. Each bedroom has an with en-suite shower room. In addition, there is a sitting area with 2-seater sofa, TV with satellite channels, tea/coffee-making facilities, telephone, hairdryer, desk, mini-bar/fridge and a very handy drying cupboard. Family Bedrooms
The family rooms at the Luostotunturi Hotel have twin beds plus a convertible double sofa bed. These rooms are ideal for families with young chidren and they sleep up to 4 people. Each room has an en-suite shower room, TV with satellite channels, telephone, tea/coffee-making facilities, hairdryer and mini-bar/fridge. The drying cupboard is really useful for refreshing snow suits, gloves etc. at the end of the days activities. Complementary access to the Amethyst Spa swimming pool. Free WIFI.
Duplex Family Bedrooms
Duplex Rooms sleep up to 5 people. These rooms provide additional space, which is especially useful for families with older children. There are twin beds at the ground floor level and an upper loft/mezzanine floor with three extra single mattress-style beds. The loft area is accessed via a staircase, which is securely gated, and it's ideally suited to children age 4 and above. Naturally, there is an ensuite shower room, TV, telephone, tea/coffee-making facilities, drying cupboard, hairdryer and mini-bar/fridge. Free WIFI, plus complementary access to the Amethyst Spa Pool.
Amethyst Suites
The Amethyst Suites have views of the natural fell landscape. They are attractively furnished throughout and very contemporary. The Amethyst Suites have 2 bedrooms, plus a 2-seater sofa bed in the lounge, sleeping 4-6 people with ease. You also have all the mod cons for a relaxing stay including a shower room, sauna, fully equipped kitchenette, telephone, TV, hairdryer & clothes drying cabinet. Free WIFI and of course, access to the Amethyst Spa Pool. The Amethyst Suites are ideal for families travelling with grandparents. They are also a great alternative to staying in a cabin, especially if you prefer to be centrally located in Luosto.
Tunturi Suites
A Tunturi Suite is a spacious, bright & attractively furnished suite with a balcony overlooking the winter wonderland of the Luosto fells. The Tunturi Suite is delightful accommodation for couples or friends staying in Luosto for the New Year Arctic Adventure tour. It is also very suitable for families on our Santa short breaks, who are looking for hotel accommodation with extra facilities. The Suite sleeps between 2-4 people and comprises 1 bedroom, plus a lounge with double sofa bed. There is an en-suite shower room, sauna, a fully equipped kitchenette, telephone, TV, hair dryer and clothes drying cabinet. Complementary use of the Amethyst Spa Pool and free WIFI.

Deluxe Luosto Villas
The Deluxe Villas are situated close to the ski slope in Luosto and under a 10 min walk to the hotel and local restaurants. This accommodation is has been built to the highest specification and sleeps up to 10 people. So it's perfect for small groups and families wishing to celebrate Christmas or New Year in a house party style.
The Luosto Villas have 4 comfortable bedrooms and 2 lounges (one with log fire) in which to relax and share stories of your adventures with the huskies and reindeer during your holiday in Luosto.

4 Bedroom Deluxe Luosto Villa
This stylish two-storey Villa boasts a contemporary interior, befitting Scandi design. The attractive bedrooms include a master double bedroom with en-suite Jacuzzi bath. In addition, there are 3 further bedrooms: 2 twin-bedded rooms, and a cosy bedroom with a small double bed and a fold-away single chair bed. There are 2 attractive lounges where you can relax, one with a cosy log fire, and a double sofa bed. The Deluxe Luosto Villas also feature a spacious sauna area with shower facilities, and a large, fully equipped kitchen with comfortable seating.
Subject to availability, customers staying a Villa may use the pool at the Luostotunturi Hotel, a charge is payable locally.
